Erica McWilliam Unlearning pedagogy In this presentation, Erica McWilliam tracks dominant modes of thinking about what pedagogy actually looked like as a relational performance in the late 20th century. She will then go on to indicate why and how we need to 'unlearn' most of what we have understood to be good or effective pedagogy. Drawing on the work of Charlie Leadbeater, she explores the idea of being 'usefully ignorant' about pedagogy, and how this might open up new possibilities than are presently shut down by our own knowledge about what teachers and students ought to do and how they ought to do it. |
